Teaching Program
Embark on a rewarding journey of teaching and empowering children of various age groups in Nepal, offering them the gift of basic conversational English and other subjects that pique their interests. As you traverse different schools across diverse locations, be it urban, suburban, or rural, you will not only contribute to their academic growth but also engage in extracurricular activities that inspire them to unlock their full potential and broaden their horizons.
In Nepal, many individuals face financial constraints that limit their ability to travel, while those in remote villages have limited exposure to the outside world. As a foreign teacher, you will play a pivotal role in bridging these gaps, enabling students to build connections with someone from a different background and culture. Simultaneously, you will have the opportunity to learn alternative teaching methods and techniques, fostering a mutual exchange of knowledge and experiences. Your primary role will involve supporting the regular school teachers, so prior teaching experience is not mandatory.
Within this program, you will engage and educate children from diverse age groups, each with unique learning capacities. While you have the freedom to employ various teaching methodologies, you may utilize course books as references or adopt conversational English as a medium of instruction. During your time as an educator, you will have the chance to teach a wide array of subjects, including mathematics, history, science, geography, computer technologies, music, arts and crafts, educational games, personal development, environmental awareness, general health and safety, and more. Proficiency in English is crucial for higher education in Nepal, making it imperative for children to acquire this language skill. By being a dedicated and trained teacher, you will contribute to raising educational standards in Nepalese schools, especially considering the current adult literacy rate of 67%, leaving ample room for improvement.
From Monday to Friday, you will conduct four to five lessons, offering a refreshing departure from the conventional and often monotonous curriculum followed by the schools. Embracing out-of-the-box activities and introducing creative experiences such as sports and games will be warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated by the children, infusing joy and enthusiasm into their learning journey.

Your daily tasks will revolve around outdoor construction and renovation activities. These may include demolishing broken structures, erecting new walls using materials like cement, sand, stones, and bricks, engaging in painting projects, performing basic carpentry work, fencing the school premises, and preparing cement mixtures. Additionally, you may assist in shifting rocks from one location to another, lending your strength and skills to create tangible improvements.

Women Empowerment
Embark on a rewarding journey as an educator, dedicated to teaching basic conversational English, fundamental computer skills, and a range of subjects tailored to your interests to women of diverse age groups in Kathmandu.
This unique program entails teaching at a specially established school designed to educate and empower young and older women who have not had the opportunity to learn to read or write. Your role will involve not only assisting them with extracurricular activities but also inspiring them to unleash their full potential and broaden their horizons through creatively structured lessons.
The women you will be teaching are predominantly those who have migrated from rural areas to work as housemaids or housewives, and unfortunately, have been deprived of formal education. Many of them lack even the most basic education and face significant challenges in their daily lives, as education has become a fundamental aspect for survival in today’s world. By participating in this project, foreign teachers like yourself provide an invaluable opportunity for these women to form relationships with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures, while also gaining exposure to diverse teaching methods and techniques.
The schools we have established aim to educate and empower younger and older women in Kathmandu who have been deprived of education for various reasons. In this era of science and technology, education holds immense importance, surpassing even basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing. The primary objective of these schools is to inspire and motivate these women to unleash their hidden talents and actively participate in the developmental activities of their families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
Your role as an educator will involve teaching and empowering adult women from different age groups, each with their own unique learning capacities. You are encouraged to employ various teaching methods that resonate with the students. Whether you choose to utilize course books as a reference or impart knowledge through conversational English, the subjects you can teach encompass a wide range, including mathematics, science, geography, computer technologies, music, spoken English, personal development, environmental awareness, general health and safety, and more. Fluency in English is vital as higher education in Nepal is conducted in this language. As a dedicated teacher, you will play a crucial role in raising educational standards in Nepalese schools, recognizing the ample room for improvement in adult literacy rates, currently at 67%.
From Monday to Friday, you will conduct four to five lessons per day. While the schools typically have a curriculum in place, your creativity and enthusiasm in bringing out-of-the-box activities and incorporating engaging experiences such as sports and games will be warmly welcomed by both the students and the staff.
Lastly, it’s important to note that the Culture Week is mandatory for this program, allowing you to acclimate to the environment and establish meaningful connections with the students and fellow educators.

Dog Rescue
Contribute to the noble cause of rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need, working towards restoring their health before finding them loving homes.
This remarkable opportunity not only allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of Nepal but also provides a unique chance to understand and connect with dogs on a deeper level, learning how to handle and care for them. The streets of Nepal often witness an unfortunate sight, with injured and starving dogs struggling to survive. In this program, you will actively participate in various activities, including rescuing these animals and nursing them back to good health.
The condition of animals in Nepal is distressing, as they are often neglected and abandoned as they age. On the streets, their plight worsens. Stray dogs and cows can be spotted in almost every corner of Kathmandu, left to fend for themselves and navigate the harsh realities of street life.
Throughout this program, you will play a vital role in rescuing and rehabilitating street dogs and those abandoned by their owners. These dogs often suffer from malnutrition and mange, and their bodies bear the scars of infected wounds, skin disorders, parasites, and the constant threat of losing limbs. Our program operates within the valley to address these challenges and combat the increasing number of street dogs. After rescue, these dogs find sanctuary in an animal shelter, where they receive the necessary care and attention before being released back into their natural habitat or offered for adoption, giving them a chance at a better life.
From Monday to Friday, you will spend your days shadowing experienced veterinary doctors, gaining valuable insights and may even have the opportunity to assist them in their noble work. Additionally, you may venture onto the streets of Kathmandu, identifying and rescuing dogs in need of immediate medical attention. Tasks may vary based on the current requirements but may include rescuing and treating injured street dogs, sterilizing female dogs, ensuring proper nourishment for stray dogs, cleaning their enclosures, walking and grooming them, and more.
