Get Personal Advice Before You Apply to Volunteer Abroad with Abroad Escape
You don't need to have your volunteer program or destination decided before you contact us.
You might already know where you want to go. You might have a particular type of volunteering in mind. Or you might simply know that you want to volunteer abroad and need help working out what makes sense.
Tell us about your plans, your interests, when you'd like to travel and your approximate budget.
We'll help you understand the relevant programs, answer your questions and give you our honest view before you decide whether to apply.
The first conversation is simply about understanding what you're looking for and helping you decide what makes sense.
Hi, I'm Kurt.
I've been involved in volunteer travel since 2006. Over the years, I've worked with travellers, volunteer programs and local partners in different destinations, and I've learned that there isn't one right answer for everyone.
When you contact me, I'll want to understand what you're looking for, when you want to travel, how long you have, what interests you and what you're comfortable spending.
From there, I can help you understand the programs that are relevant to your plans and give you my view on what makes sense.
If you're still researching, that's fine too. You can ask questions before you decide whether you want to apply.
Tell Us About Your Plans
The more you tell us, the more useful our advice can be.
You don't need to know exactly where you want to go or which program you want. If you're still figuring that out, just tell us what you're thinking about.
What Happens Next?
1. Tell Us About Your Plans
Complete the short form and tell us where you'd like to go, when you want to travel, how long you have and what type of volunteering interests you.
If you don't know the destination yet, that's fine.
2. We Review What You're Looking For
We'll look at the information you've provided and work out what questions we need to answer or which programs may be relevant to your plans.
3. Get Personal Advice
We'll answer your questions and explain the options that make sense based on what you've told us.
If we think a particular program is suitable, we'll explain why.
If we think something else would make more sense, we'll tell you that too.
4. Decide What You Want to Do
There's no requirement to apply immediately.
Take the information away, talk it through with your family if you want to, and decide whether you'd like to proceed.
If you decide to book, we'll explain the next steps.
