You will get an introduction to Thai customs, everyday etiquette, and some basic language so you feel more confident interacting with locals. Along the way, you will explore Hua Hin’s highlights, taste local food, and get a feel for the rhythm of this friendly beach town. The week is a relaxed mix of learning, culture, and free time.

You work closely with the local staff, using songs, games, and creative activities to keep the children engaged. Your time also gives teachers more space to manage the class and even practice their own English. It is a warm, energetic environment where you can bring your ideas and enthusiasm to the classroom.

Prepare to unleash your creative skills as you guide these young learners through songs, dances, games, and repetition exercises. English proficiency is a valuable asset, as many local teachers may not be fluent in the language.

Classes usually involve 15 to 40 students, and you are encouraged to bring songs, games, and creative activities to help them gain confidence using English. You will also collaborate closely with local teachers, learn about the Thai education system, and get experience planning lessons and organizing activities.

Our program focuses on partnering with various schools, both primary and secondary, where you’ll have the chance to work with students aged 6 to 18. These schools are open to new teaching concepts and approaches, allowing you to introduce fresh ideas that complement the local Thai teaching methods and style.

By expanding their English language skills, you’ll empower these students to broaden their horizons and unlock new opportunities.

In addition to the primary goal of helping rural Thai children improve their English fluency (often surpassing that of their teachers), our teaching program offers a remarkable insight into the Thai education system. Join the environmental conservation project in Hua Hin and spend your days between mangroves, national parks, and local communities. This is a great option if you want to get your hands dirty, protect nature, and still soak up Thailand’s coastal atmosphere.

You also take part in awareness sessions at local schools or with community groups, talking about topics like waste, plastic use, and protecting local ecosystems. Throughout the week you work alongside local coordinators and community members, gaining practical conservation experience while learning about Thai culture.

You will support sports sessions in local schools and community fields, focusing on team sports like football, volleyball, basketball, rugby, or tennis depending on local needs. Your role is to help children develop basic skills, coordination, and teamwork in a safe and encouraging environment. You also promote values like discipline, respect, and fair play.

Alongside coaching, you may help with simple health and fitness messages so kids understand why movement and good habits matter. You work with local coaches and teachers, so you are never alone on the field and can gradually build your confidence as a coach.

Many local families and institutions still need basic improvements, from fresh paint and simple repairs to better facilities. You might help renovate classrooms, community halls, temples, or housing by painting, cleaning, repairing furniture, or assisting with small building tasks. All activities are guided by local coordinators, so you do not need previous construction experience.

The work is physical but beginner friendly, and you will learn simple practical skills along the way. At the same time, you get to interact with the local community and see how these improvements make day to day life more comfortable and welcoming.

As a dedicated participant, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing construction and renovation projects, as well as join new initiatives aimed at uplifting the local community.

The program is designed to give you a solid introduction to Chiang Mai, from daily customs and food to history and religion. There is a good mix of structured activities and free time so you can wander, sip coffee, or just enjoy the atmosphere.

By the end of the week you will know how to get around, what to order, and how to interact respectfully with locals. It is a great first week before a volunteer project or simply a fun way to experience the area more deeply than a standard city break.

Begin with breakfast, then visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep for views over Chiang Mai and time at this iconic temple. After lunch you visit the peaceful Wat Pha Lad and in the evening share a welcome and goodbye dinner to celebrate the week.

Friday
After breakfast you explore the Lanna Folklife Museum and Warorrot Market for culture and local goods. You have lunch, visit Wat Chedi Luang, and later experience the night market before enjoying a final dinner in Chiang Mai.

Our primary focus is to initiate and support construction and renovation projects that directly benefit the local community.

Together, we will breathe new life into schools, hospitals, temples, and impoverished housing, as well as various community areas and facilities that are in dire need of improvement. By joining our efforts, you will contribute to ongoing projects while also embarking on new initiatives that leave a lasting impact on the community.

Your tasks may vary from cleaning and mixing cement to more complex endeavors like plastering walls and repairing roofs. Throughout the program, our experienced coordinator, well-versed in construction, will provide close instruction and supervision to ensure the safety of all participants and the integrity of the housing conditions for the local residents.

You will have the option to dine at our accommodation or in nearby establishments close to the project site, ensuring convenience and efficient use of your time.

The sanctuary focuses on elephants that have been rescued from hard labor, shows, or poor conditions. There is no riding and the priority is always the animals’ well being. You help with daily care tasks like preparing food, feeding, and sometimes bathing the elephants, while learning from experienced mahouts who know each animal’s personality and needs.

Our project takes place in a sanctuary that provides a safe haven for elderly, sick, disabled, previously abused, or illegally-owned elephants.

Our focus is entirely on the well-being of these magnificent creatures. Riding elephants is not part of our program, but instead, you’ll have the opportunity to intimately interact with them. Join us in washing and bathing the elephants, preparing their nourishing meals of sugarcane and banana plants, and even swimming alongside them. During the day, the elephants roam freely within the sanctuary, returning to the forest in the early evening.

Throughout your journey, you’ll have the privilege of working alongside experienced mahouts, who have dedicated their lives to understanding elephants and providing them with the best care.

It’s important to note that our project revolves solely around the compassionate care of these gentle giants. There will be no exploitation of the animals during your time with us. Our focus is on preserving and protecting these majestic creatures for generations to come.

As you embark on this program, you’ll have the privilege of visiting the Temple, where knowledgeable monks will guide you in English, sharing their deep wisdom and understanding of Buddhism. Your dedicated coordinator will be there every step of the way, ensuring a seamless experience despite any language barriers.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced individual, this program caters to all levels of understanding. The daily routine commences early, around 05:00, with the melodic chants and tranquil meditation that set the tone for the day. Following this, you’ll witness the monks embark on the humbling act of Pindabat, receiving alms from the community. Around 08:00, a nourishing breakfast awaits you back at the temple.

Prepare to delve into the essence of Buddhism and Thai meditation. Learn the art of mindfulness through breathing techniques and explore different meditation postures, such as sitting, walking, and lying down, to find the posture that resonates most with you.

Lunch, served at 11:00, is a modest affair, as Buddhist monks traditionally eat only 1-2 meals a day and refrain from eating after midday. Participants have the option to choose whether to have dinner or not. In the afternoon, continue your meditation practice for 1-2 hours, and enjoy some personal time for self-reflection or assisting with temple chores.

As the day draws to a close, around 18:00 or 19:00, immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of evening chanting and meditation. Following the practice, engage in enlightening discussions with the monks, where you can inquire and explore the depths of Buddhism.

Please note that your stay at the monastery will be humble and minimalistic, providing you with only the essentials—a comfortable mattress, a pillow, and a warm blanket. Embrace the simplicity and tranquility that this experience offers.

During your time here, you’ll be working with kids aged 2 to 5 at a local children’s development center in Koh Samui. Your day will run from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and you’ll be supporting teachers who often face large class sizes and a shortage of staff. Some classes have up to 30 kids, making it tough for one teacher to give each child the attention they need.

Your role will be super important. You’ll help local educators by using creative methods like songs, games, and fun activities to help the kids learn and enjoy their intro to basic education. You may also help with meal supervision, plan playtime, organize events, and occasionally assist with light cleaning tasks. Basic hygiene care, like brushing hair or trimming nails, might be part of your day too, along with prepping and feeding the little ones.

You’ll also be making a big impact by helping Thai teachers introduce English to kids early on. Since most local teachers aren’t fluent in English, you’ll be giving kids a chance to hear different accents and practice speaking, which helps boost their confidence when interacting with foreigners.
