Kindergarten in Hua Hin
In this program you support local teachers at a children’s development center with kids aged around 2.5 to 6 years old. Many classrooms are crowded, so your presence helps give children more attention and support. You will help with simple English, basic concepts like numbers or colors, and daily care such as playtime and routines.
More info
You work closely with the local staff, using songs, games, and creative activities to keep the children engaged. Your time also gives teachers more space to manage the class and even practice their own English. It is a warm, energetic environment where you can bring your ideas and enthusiasm to the classroom.

Prepare to unleash your creative skills as you guide these young learners through songs, dances, games, and repetition exercises. English proficiency is a valuable asset, as many local teachers may not be fluent in the language.
Your presence will give them an opportunity to practice English from an early age, exposing them to different accents and boosting their overall learning experience. Furthermore, it instills confidence in their ability to communicate with foreigners, fostering a sense of openness and curiosity.

Schedule
Monday
Start with an introduction meeting covering house rules, expectations, health and safety, and document handling. You continue with a Thai culture and language session, have lunch, then join a project meeting and visit the kindergarten to observe and get to know the placement before ending the day with dinner.
Tuesday to Friday
Have breakfast at the Hua Hin center, then spend the morning at the child care or kindergarten supporting teachers and interacting with the children. After lunch you focus on lesson planning and preparation for the next day, before returning to the center in the evening for dinner.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions, local circumstances, and unforeseen events
English Teaching in Hua Hin
You will work with students aged roughly 2.5 to 18 years old in child development centers, primary schools, or secondary schools. Many schools have large classes, so your support helps teachers keep lessons more engaging and interactive. You focus mainly on English, but sometimes you may assist with other subjects depending on your skills and the school’s needs.
More info
Classes usually involve 15 to 40 students, and you are encouraged to bring songs, games, and creative activities to help them gain confidence using English. You will also collaborate closely with local teachers, learn about the Thai education system, and get experience planning lessons and organizing activities.

Our program focuses on partnering with various schools, both primary and secondary, where you’ll have the chance to work with students aged 6 to 18. These schools are open to new teaching concepts and approaches, allowing you to introduce fresh ideas that complement the local Thai teaching methods and style.
By expanding their English language skills, you’ll empower these students to broaden their horizons and unlock new opportunities.

In addition to the primary goal of helping rural Thai children improve their English fluency (often surpassing that of their teachers), our teaching program offers a remarkable insight into the Thai education system. It’s an excellent chance to develop meaningful connections with students and teachers alike, forging friendships that can last a lifetime.

Schedule
Monday
Begin with a welcome meeting where you go through house rules, expectations, health and safety, and sign the necessary documents. You then join Thai culture and language lessons, have lunch, and meet with the project coordinator for preparation before visiting schools for observation, finishing the day with dinner.
Tuesday to Friday
Have breakfast at the Hua Hin center, then head out for teaching sessions, which can be scheduled in the morning or afternoon depending on the school. After lunch you prepare lessons for the next day together with other participants, and in the evening you return to the center for dinner and free time.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions, local circumstances, and unforeseen events

Some time is spent at a mangrove learning center, where you learn more about the ecosystem and help share this knowledge with others.

You also take part in awareness sessions at local schools or with community groups, talking about topics like waste, plastic use, and protecting local ecosystems. Throughout the week you work alongside local coordinators and community members, gaining practical conservation experience while learning about Thai culture.

Schedule
Monday
Start with an introduction meeting covering house rules, expectations, health and safety, and document handling. This is followed by Thai culture and language lessons, lunch, and then project preparation with visits and observation at the conservation sites before returning for dinner.
Tuesday to Friday
Each day after breakfast you join conservation activities for around 4 to 5 hours, which might include national park work, mangrove nursery tasks, tree planting, or clean ups. Your role is to help children develop basic skills, coordination, and teamwork in a safe and encouraging environment. You also promote values like discipline, respect, and fair play.

Alongside coaching, you may help with simple health and fitness messages so kids understand why movement and good habits matter. You work with local coaches and teachers, so you are never alone on the field and can gradually build your confidence as a coach.

Schedule

If it is your first week, you travel in the morning to the project location and meet the local team, sports coach, and staff. You receive an introduction to the sports curriculum, talk through lesson plans, and settle into the weekly routine.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions, local circumstances, and unforeseen events

Your role is to assist teachers with simple lessons, songs, games, and classroom routines so the kids stay engaged and receive more individual attention. You also help with daily care activities such as playtime, transitions, and basic hygiene.

These educational institutions often face a shortage of teachers, resulting in overcrowded classrooms where it becomes challenging for a single teacher to provide individual attention to each child. Harnessing your creative skills, you will engage the young learners in various activities such as songs, dances, games, and repetition exercises. These engaging approaches not only facilitate their English language learning but also introduce them to fundamental educational concepts.

Elephant Experience in Chiang Mai
Spend your week in Chiang Mai at an ethical elephant sanctuary, helping care for rescued elephants in a natural setting. This experience is perfect if you love animals and want to support their welfare in a responsible way.
More info
The sanctuary focuses on elephants that have been rescued from hard labor, shows, or poor conditions. There is no riding and the priority is always the animals’ well being. You help with daily care tasks like preparing food, feeding, and sometimes bathing the elephants, while learning from experienced mahouts who know each animal’s personality and needs.
Our project takes place in a sanctuary that provides a safe haven for elderly, sick, disabled, previously abused, or illegally-owned elephants.

Our focus is entirely on the well-being of these magnificent creatures. Riding elephants is not part of our program, but instead, you’ll have the opportunity to intimately interact with them. Join us in washing and bathing the elephants, preparing their nourishing meals of sugarcane and banana plants, and even swimming alongside them. During the day, the elephants roam freely within the sanctuary, returning to the forest in the early evening.

Throughout your journey, you’ll have the privilege of working alongside experienced mahouts, who have dedicated their lives to understanding elephants and providing them with the best care.

More info
You will support kindergartens with children aged around 2 to 5 years old, where teacher shortages and full classrooms are common. Your role is to assist teachers in the classroom, help introduce basic educational concepts, and bring simple English into daily routines. You use songs, dances, games, and repetition to make lessons fun and easy to follow.
During your time here, you’ll be working with kids aged 2 to 5 at a local children’s development center in Koh Samui. Your day will run from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and you’ll be supporting teachers who often face large class sizes and a shortage of staff. Some classes have up to 30 kids, making it tough for one teacher to give each child the attention they need.

Your role will be super important. You’ll help local educators by using creative methods like songs, games, and fun activities to help the kids learn and enjoy their intro to basic education. You may also help with meal supervision, plan playtime, organize events, and occasionally assist with light cleaning tasks. Basic hygiene care, like brushing hair or trimming nails, might be part of your day too, along with prepping and feeding the little ones.
You’ll also be making a big impact by helping Thai teachers introduce English to kids early on. Since most local teachers aren’t fluent in English, you’ll be giving kids a chance to hear different accents and practice speaking, which helps boost their confidence when interacting with foreigners.

More info
For thousands of years, elephants have been essential to human life, helping us with various tasks. However, despite their significance in Thai culture and religion, many elephants face serious challenges, including abuse and habitat loss, leading to a decline in their population. Right now, Asian elephants are classified as an endangered species, and they need our help!

Throughout the week, you’ll be actively involved in keeping their living space clean and healthy. On your first day, get ready for an eye-opening introduction to Asian elephants! You’ll learn to prepare Thai herbal medicine for them alongside the I Love Elephant team—an awesome way to kick off your journey and understand our goals.
From Monday to Friday, you’ll dive into daily tasks like cleaning the elephant habitats, observing their behaviors, and preparing their meals. You’ll even help buy food, chop grass, and plant veggies to ensure they get the healthy diet they deserve.
By joining the Elephant Care Program, you’ll not only contribute to the well-being of these amazing animals but also gain invaluable knowledge about their care. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of these gentle giants! Are you ready to take action and create lasting memories in Thailand?

How does airport pickup work?
Airport pickup is included and arranged on the designated arrival day for each destination. Full arrival instructions and local contact details are provided after acceptance. If you arrive earlier, a meeting point or alternative pickup can usually be arranged.
Can I volunteer with a friend, partner, or group?
Yes. You can apply together with a friend or partner by mentioning this in the application form. Group or family applications can also be organised on request.
How long does the application process take?
Once you submit your application, we review it promptly. In most cases, you will receive a response within 1–2 days, depending on availability and project requirements.
Is volunteering abroad free?
No. These are paid volunteer programs. Program fees contribute to accommodation, meals (where included), local coordination, orientation, and placement organisation. Full details are provided before any payment is requested.
How many hours per day will I volunteer?
Most volunteers work around 4–6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, depending on the project. Weekends are generally free for travel, rest, or exploration.
Do I need experience or qualifications?
Most programs do not require prior experience. Some specialised projects (for example, healthcare-related placements) may require relevant background or documentation. This is always confirmed before acceptance.
