This East African gem invites travelers to witness the spectacle of untamed nature, from the iconic plains of the Maasai Mara to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

Get ready for a warm welcome! Your adventure begins the moment you arrive, with our airport pick-up on Sunday. To ensure a smooth transition, we’ll provide you with all the necessary arrival and contact details when you book your program. The local team will be waiting for you, ready to transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll meet fellow participants from around the world.

Your Accommodation & Meals

Your accommodation is included from Sunday night until Saturday morning of your last week, so you can rest assured that you’ll have a comfortable place to call home throughout your journey. You’ll be staying in shared rooms with other participants, giving you the perfect opportunity to make lifelong friends from around the world. You’ll be accommodated in single-gender rooms, ensuring maximum comfort and privacy. But that’s not all – we’ve got your meals covered too!

Kenya Road Trip

Embark on a thrilling 21-day journey through Kenya, immersing yourself in its diverse cultures and rich history.

Explore the magnificent Maasai Mara, encountering wildlife on exhilarating game drives. Engage with Maasai communities, hike to the stunning Thompson Falls, and venture into the floor of a historic volcano. Track free-roaming giraffes as they roam the wild. This unique experience promises unforgettable moments and adventurous encounters. Discover the beauty of Kenya’s landscapes, traditions, and wildlife on this captivating road trip.

Embark on an exciting and enlightening trip to Kenya, where you will immerse yourself in different cultures and learn about the country’s fascinating history through a variety of programs.

Upon arriving in Kenya, our Lead coordinator will greet you at the airport and escort you to your accommodations in the Nairobi Manyatta dorm, where you will spend your first few nights experiencing the capital city. Your coordinator will brief you on what to expect during your stay in Kenya and lead you on an afternoon visit to David Scheldrick, an orphanage that rescues and cares for elephants. You will then visit the Giraffe Centre to feed and spend time with these magnificent creatures before returning to your accommodations.

On the third day, you will venture to the renowned Cultural Music Centre, Bomas of Kenya, where you will witness the diverse music and dances of Kenya’s myriad cultures. This two-day experience will allow you to explore the many tribes that make up Kenya, each with their own unique dances.

Day five marks the start of your thrilling Maasai Mara Game Drive, where you will stay for two nights in an accommodation within the park. After safari drives, you will visit Maasai villages and interact with local people, learning about their customs and culture. Your exploration then takes you to Nakuru, where you will tour the city and behold the numerous flamingos that reside there.

On the ninth day, you will participate in team building and other fun activities. Continue your journey towards Naivasha on the 10th day for a boat ride around the lake, spotting hippos alongside your team. The following day, hike to the magnificent Thompson Falls and marvel at the beauty of the waterfall.

On day 12, you will embark on an exciting mission to track wild giraffes on foot at a nearby conservancy, learning about their families and names. Finally, you will hike a dormant volcano on the last day, traversing its uniquely crafted crater floor.Join us on an epic journey through Kenya, where you will encounter different cultures, history, and wildlife like never before.

After a two-week adventure, you will join a community project where you will be able to contribute to a social project and give back to the community. You can join teaching, childcare, and construction and renovation projects.

Aims & Objectives Kenya Road Trip

The objective of this program is to provide participants with an authentic experience of Kenya, by fully immersing them in the country’s culture, customs, and way of life. Additionally, the program offers opportunities for engagement in community projects and activities, aimed at enhancing understanding of the local community’s lifestyle.

Itinerary Kenya Road Trip

Week 1: Nairobi & Maasai Mara

Day 1: Monday
Upon your arrival in Nairobi, you will be transported from the airport to the accommodation center. On the following morning, Monday, you will attend an introduction session covering important topics such as local culture, safety and health precautions, transportation, and expectations for the trip. You will have the opportunity to visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, followed by a trip to the Giraffe Centre where many giraffes are cared for. In the evening, you may choose to retire for the night or engage in some board games with your team members.

Day 2 & 3: Tuesday & Wednesday

An early morning awaits as you are granted the opportunity to visit the ‘Bomas of Kenya’, a cultural music center featuring displays of traditional dances and musical performances. Members of numerous Kenyan tribes will converge at this venue to present their unique cultural expressions. Such an intricate display of talent and culture will continue throughout the next day, as each tribe showcases its diverse range of dances and musicals. Additionally, you will be able to engage with the dancers and delve further into their cultures.

Day 5 to 7: Thursday to Saturday

Experience the awe-inspiring Maasai Mara National Reserve during your next two-day excursion in Kenya. Witness a multitude of magnificent animals such as lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, and wildebeests, among others, as you explore the vast plains of the Mara. Overnight accommodations at one of our camps will be provided for the duration of your stay. Enjoy an authentic cultural experience with the Maasai people, who will be performing their traditional dances and jumps, showcasing their way of life that has been passed down for generations. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable adventure in the Maasai Mara.

Week 2: Nakuru, Naivasha & Nyahururu

Day 8: Sunday

Upon your arrival at our primary lodging facility in Nakuru, you will be granted the opportunity to take a tour of the city. This will include visits to the local market, small curio shops, and a breathtaking aerial view of the city. It is worth noting that Nakuru boasts the largest population of flamingos and is commonly referred to as the “home of flamingos.”

Day 9: Monday

Get ready for an enjoyable experience! Today, you will be visiting the Fish Park Center, which offers a variety of entertaining activities. You will be divided into teams to participate in team-building exercises, which will put your strength and intellectual capabilities to the test. The team that performs best will be recognized and awarded for their successful efforts. This event promises to be a unique and enjoyable day like no other.

Day 10: Tuesday

Begin your day with a one-hour drive to Lake Naivasha, where you will participate in a boat ride with your fellow team members, where you will see hippos basking and playing in the water and enjoy the peaceful lake view.

Day 11: Wednesday

Ready for another adventure? Today will be a hiking excursion to the famous Thompson Falls in Nyahururu, which is about a one-hour drive from the accommodation center. The hike will be a wonderful bonding experience for you and your team members, full of laughter and wonderful memories.

Day 12 -13: Thursday & Friday

In the wild, you will become one with the Giraffes. Visit a nearby conservancy where you will be required to track giraffes in the wild and learn their names and families. This will be done on foot as you walk through the conservancy with a ranger to identify the giraffes.

Day 14: Saturday

Today will be an early start as you continue your exploration of the famous Menengai Crater. A trained guide will accompany you through the crater’s floors and provide you with a brief history of how it came to be.

Day 15: Sunday

Today is a day for rest and relaxation. In the evening, we will hold a community engagement project briefing for the upcoming week.

Week 3

Day 16 – 20: Monday to Friday

After a two-week adventure, you will join a community project where you will be able to contribute to a social project and give back to the community. You can get involved in education, childcare, and construction and renovation projects.

Day 21: Saturday

Head to the airport for your departure.
