Welcome to Sri Lanka
A route from the Central province of Sri Lanka to the Southern part of the country, passing many historical sites. The focal point of the journey would be Kandy.
Your Arrival
Get ready for a warm welcome! Your adventure begins the moment you arrive, with our airport pick-up on Sunday from 05:00 until 20:00 at Bandaranayake International Airport (CMB).
To ensure a smooth transition, we’ll provide you with all the necessary arrival and contact details when you book your program. The local team will be waiting for you, ready to transfer you to your accommodation where you’ll meet fellow volunteers from around the world.
Your Accommodation & Meals
Your accommodation is included from Sunday night until Saturday morning of your last week, so you can rest assured that you’ll have a comfortable place to call home throughout your journey. You’ll be staying in shared rooms with other participants, giving you the perfect opportunity to make lifelong friends from around the world. You’ll be accommodated in single-gender rooms, ensuring maximum comfort and privacy.
But that’s not all – we’ve got your meals covered too. You’ll enjoy three delicious meals per day from Monday to Friday, and two meals per day on weekends.
Itinerary
Sri Lanka Road Trip
This 20-day road trip through Sri Lanka offers a perfect blend of culture, adventure, relaxation, and community engagement, giving you an immersive experience of the island’s diverse landscapes and rich heritage. Starting in Hikkaduwa, you’ll be introduced to Sri Lanka’s coastal beauty, with visits to the historic Galle Fort and the Turtle Hatchery, offering a glimpse into the island’s fascinating marine life. Yoga lessons and a serene river safari along the Madu River will allow you to unwind while connecting with nature.
The journey continues with a thrilling safari in Yala National Park, home to leopards, elephants, and other wildlife. You’ll then make your way to the scenic town of Ella, where you’ll explore Ravana Falls and enjoy the natural beauty of the highlands. The trip offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation, with free time to explore Ella on foot and immerse yourself in its peaceful surroundings.
Next, you’ll take a stunning train ride to Kandy, where the road trip takes on a meaningful purpose through community engagement projects. You’ll contribute to local communities by teaching, helping with renovations, or supporting special needs programs. Kandy also serves as a hub for exploring the cultural side of Sri Lanka, with visits to tea plantations, spice gardens, and local markets, as well as experiencing traditional Sri Lankan dance.
The final leg of the journey includes a visit to the ancient wonders of Sigiriya, where you’ll climb Pidurangala and the iconic Lion’s Rock, and a unique cultural adventure at Heel Oya. This road trip is a perfect mix of personal growth, cultural exploration, and giving back, making it a fulfilling experience from start to finish.
This program aims to connect you with the genuine essence of Sri Lanka. Engaging in various projects and activities will allow you to deeply immerse yourself in the culture, customs, and everyday life of the country.

Fill out the Application Form below and we will let you know if you are accepted within 48 hours.
2. Deposit
Once accepted you pay your deposit of 200 Euro, 200 Pounds or 200 US$ to reserve your place in the program. The deposit is part of your total amount (and NOT an extra payment), and will be deducted from your total fees.
3. Remaining Fees
You pay the remaining fees of your program, minus the deposit which you already paid, six weeks before the start date of your program.
